Every time he gets pulled over for a selfie it's an abuse of power. If he can't ignore it, they shouldn't be doing it. Wait for a random encounter in a parking lot or gas station like the rest of us.

Gay here, but I've only experienced a concerning conversation once, and that was a longer trip where sometimes you find out too much. I took an exit ramp away from that topic of conversation and it was fine. Otherwise everyone has been decent to downright pleasant.

I'd feel like I'm losing something by giving up that human interaction, such that it is.

Matter/Thread is reasonably good with Apple Home. The more adventurous can also dual-join it to Home Assistant running on the same Thread network. It surprisingly just works, though the dual-controller setup still involves a little initial suffering.

Just bear in mind that the OSS nvidia kernel module often causes breakages there with mismatched firmware. The entirely proprietary module or nv are fine.

Tumbleweed is good for a mostly stable, clean KDE distro, but I wouldn't recommend it for gaming or codec integration. The first-class btrfs snapshots are probably my favorite feature.

The Intel video encoding pipeline alone is worth going Intel on the low end. Those low-power devices simply need better transcoding support than AMD can currently provide.

But it shouldn't have been conceived with that design. Adobe products blend a timesaving tool into a truly productive workflow. Photoshop, a layer or a filter. Lightroom, a brush. Mystery-meat autocorrect/enhance buttons only get you so far and may alter far more than you want, which is dangerous when you want to want to present a slightly polished version of reality.

If you want to try well-engineered neural network use, you should be trying Adobe's products. They have integrated these features with far more tact and actual benefit than I would've expected from them. Google is embarrassing themselves by stuffing AI in places it doesn't fit, and Microsoft is worse.

He has a shareholder duty to try for all the best-friend-forever preferential treatment he can get. We've recently learned that he's decent at diplomacy, but he's been honing it for years in China.

He isn't responsible for this oddly-personal political system as it is, but he has to take advantage of those weaknesses.

If free and fair elections survive, I expect we will. If not, this will likely be a lifelong lesson on the decline of a nation.

The last such threat to the nation ended with FDR's death, and before that, the end of the Civil War. I hope we'll get another chance.

And it doesn't fit with the conservative Christian view of the nation consisting purely of those that fled Germany. The truth is simply more complicated than either extreme is comfortable with.

That being said, the ancestry and the history doesn't change the actions being committed today.

If ever there was a time to chicken out, this is that time. This would outright crash the tech economy. This would suggest a price increase of 50% on the already eye-watering Nvidia pricing and nearly that on smartphones. It is difficult not to take this as a shameless attempt to manipulate either the corporations or the stock market or both.

Permits? Bear in mind that many people just like getting naked online for an appreciative audience for free. Should that be permitted? This creeps toward a puritanical perspective and is just as claustrophobic. Sometimes the line between preventing financial incentive and preventing immorality blurs.

Most of the time they'll go on Twitter or the noncompliant websites instead. That being said, published numbers have shown VPN subscriptions skyrocket. Public tech skills aren't what they were in the 2000s, but people who can't/won't verify ID are motivated. It is a powerful force after all.

Interesting article overall, but the odd focus on "reverse evolution" is rather weak. Natural selection has no direction, and the dead ends sometimes are just dormant paths waiting for reason to be selected again. Even us sophisticated mammals only remain mammals because of inertia and survival benefit, but the environment can apply new pressures to change our direction.

I was in a new world order survival cult as a kid, and it destroyed any semblance of connection I felt with others. Why connect when they're going to the camps?

Everything I've seen for the last ten years or so feels familiar. That very cult got a little watered down and has consumed the politics of the nation.

It's disappointing you've been downvoted over this. While I do subscribe to Kagi and I see the benefit of having a search provider less influenced by US law, I appreciate the ethical argument of avoiding commerce with nations that disrupt Europe's peaceful status quo and remorselessly kill civilians in the process. I suppose it's so easy to feel sheltered from the devastation here in the US.

You'll see the Grok genocide story got posted five times... so they ended up getting one flag and four dups. People are trying, but oppression is easy on here, and the power to prevent a flagging is concentrated. People comment on flagging only to be ignored by the management, and repost those suppressed stories to no effect.

It's probably best to give up with the website and use an RSS reader. I also turn on hidden comments. The censorship can be mostly avoided.

People copy passwords and social security numbers. Clipboard restrictions are essential, even when it gets annoying. As with spam, it only takes a few bad actors to ruin implicit trust for everyone.
