100%. I installed and began playing Outer Wilds on gamepass thinking that I was playing Outer Worlds. After about 10 minutes I knew I was wrong, it didn't feel like an Obsidian game. One of the best mistakes I ever made when it came to gaming.

A recent post from a crypto reporter gave a good write up of how he almost got himself scammed [1]. It sounds like it followed the exact same script, even down to the Aunt with a crypto trading firm. The lengths that the scammers went to in order to prepare him for the scam was impressive. It gives some personal insight into how even those who should know better find themselves involved.
[1] https://unchainedcrypto.com/how-i-almost-got-slaughtered-in-...

I have a hard time with any ideological approach to education that comes from those not participating in the system. There are competing goals that are stratified from the classroom to the federal government. Due to the diversity of the participants, literally most of the country, aligning these goals makes it a never-ending problem with new strategies and approaches and proposals being produced every few cycles.
Here is my take. The most important and impactful area that you can put your collective effort is into the teacher and student relationship. The educators are the ones challenged to tactically implement this year's "flavor of instruction", but their goal remains to elevate your child. You can argue about what measure they are using, but the end-result is that they are working for the betterment of your child within the constraints of their situation. Which includes every other child in that same classroom, an ever changing curriculum, assessment goals, local, state, and federal expectations.
The teachers are the ones translating all of that into effective instruction to the best of their ability. Give them your support, your understanding, your time, and your advocacy. You will see change while the rest of the country argues over the next "best idea".

I agree wholeheartedly. The more unnatural the scent the more it impacts me. Cinnamon is tolerable but as we trend towards “beach day bonfire” it creates a feeling in my olfactory system similar to tasting something sickly sweet. I think it ties back to my brain smelling what I expect to be eating.

Here is the crux. If during this time they also dismantle the checks and balances that allow a stable democracy to exist then they transition into chaos. Chaos creates a very convenient excuse to establish martial law. This is accelerated if the people rise up to protest the dismantling of democracy. Martial law leads to suspension of elections, ipso facto, the loss of democracy.
