Yep in the article it says ..the National Library .. has the single largest digital collection of Norwegian books, newspapers, web pages .. it is entitled to receive copies of every published book and broadcasted content. Its legal deposit mandate in this area extended beyond books, as it was duty-bound to collect and preserve all of Norway’s cultural heritage .. an agreement with Norwegian newspapers permitted LLM training on copyrighted content.

I also dont get why adding 'utm_source=Robin_Sloan_sent_me' somehow gels with his calculation it is 'an expression of digital etiquette: rather than dump a load of anonymous traffic on your doorstep, I reveal who’s linking'. Theres no actual link to the referring website just some bunch of characters which look like someones name and some of which are in the actual referring URL.

And yeah I'm also thankful also to see that firefox setting.

What is the recommended way to add support for additional functional themes to support users like colour vision friendly, high contrast for poor vision, daylight mode, and night vision preserving (no blue channel) - rather than just light/dark?

Thanks! I was figuring this out just now as well thanks.

The analysis is flawed if it doesn't include this as the gains they describe seem essentially unrealisable.

So is the real issue that maybe someone has immediate settlement when the rest don't?

You never settle the trades? Dividends etc?

Hmm maybe I am 5...

Edit: ok yep so I guess what if they repeated the analysis leaving some time around open/close for chance of trades to settle, would the effect disappear or would this chance beef the key factor for the reported gain?

Don't goog collect either way?

You get presented an ad:

- click and advertiser gets charged

- don't click and the ad word cost goes up so advertiser pays more to present the ad next time (because click through rate went down)

I always thought it was an amazing scheme, collect both ways.

Or did I get it wrong? Was ages ago when I looked at it.

I don't click either...

If you were to use this, would you really want to give all your detailed financial information to someone else? Who else do you give that info to? So desktop definitely good idea.
