In my opinion it is because if you control both the model and the harness then you're able to tune everything to work together much better.

I know, I use OpenCode daily but it still feels like it's missing something - codex in my opinion is way better at coding but I honestly feel like that's because OpenAI controls both the model and the harness so they're able to fine tune everything to work together much better.

I honestly feel like people are brainwashed by anthropic propaganda when it comes to claude, I think codex is just way better and kimi 2.5 (and I think glm 5 now) are perfectly fine for a claude replacement.

I think the only advantage that closed models have are the tools around them (claude code and codex). At this point if forced I could totally live with open models only if needed.

I think Ladybird will beat Servo at making an usable and good product, Mozilla might have more resources but that's not the only thing that you need if you want to build great software.

On the other hand the default CSV profile didn't seem that great either, the CSV file was 349 MB and it compressed it down to 119MB while a ZIP file of the CSV is 105MB.

Depends on your goals but I think a minimal and useful browser with completely new APIs wouldn't be so hard to do if you leverage the huge amount of existing open source libraries. The hardest part would be getting people to actually use it.

In some cases sure but it can also create the situation where people just waste time for nothing (think AI interviewing other AIs - this might generate GDP by people purchasing those services but I think we can all agree that this scenario is just wasting time and resource without improving society).

The booster is not going to Mars, only the ship which will have legs for the landing. I also think they plan to catch the ship as well so there will be different versions.

I don't understand why this needs to be its own package, looking at the code everything seems to be implemented in the `ZoomableCircles.svelte` file which is ~200 lines long (https://www.npmjs.com/package/svelte-zoomable-circles?active... - also fun fact, you can't link a specific file from the NPM code browser tab). Writing a blog post on how to create something similar would be way more useful than this package.

This culture of using packages for simple things needs to die.
