But in normal years candidates are successful because of the amount of money they can raise. The more they can raise the more brainwashing ads they can buy. The non so secret cabal is the donor class.

Anyone can run? You must meet requirements on age and how long you have lived in the US. You must pay fees and provide signatures for each state. If doing it through a party you have to meet their rules.

Cost to get on most states ballots at a basic level is a million. You could do it for free if you dont want to appear on any ballots.

They own the venues. And the artists are to blame because without them ticketmaster would have no product. Pearl Jam took a huge career hit trying to fight them.

You can downloads millions of things for your computer without kyc protocols. Why are phones in a special class? Your data is being slurped by the people who sold you the phone and you are worried about the small fish.

I've been hearing that Anthropic want all major AI providers to stop developing front tier models for a year for safety reasons. The real reason is they need time to get there models cheaper because of the DeepSeek threat or local llms or other even cheaper providers.

Billionaire's always influenced policy. Rockefeller, Carnegie, Ford and Morgan were much more powerful than Egon, Bezos or Gates.

In Ancient Greece you had a larger gap between rich and power. Landowners vs farmer. In the early 6th century BC, inequality was so extreme that poor farmers regularly sold themselves or their families into slavery just to pay off debts and survive.

If we only learned more about history we might be more thankful for where we really are.

Canada has moved to state assisted suicides that allows people who aren't terminal to get the state to pay for it.

I remember losing subdomain search: search.batcave.net 20+ years ago when they suddenly took it over. Batcave offered free hosting and a subdomain at the time.

Sounds great until you have an aging parent with a problem who can't get there. Get a power of attorney you say.. great but they won't accept unless parent comes to the branch.

This comes back to haunt you in the future.

I've never paid Google for anything. I usually get a check from them. What does Google sell? Office clone, ads, map api credits, search api credits, ad free youtube, ai credits sometimes phones and speakers that get bricked?

If the grocery store is selling your data (and they are) and meta has a connecting card number ads could be targeted.
