This is the point: in English, it is not a generic geographic term.

It is in Spanish, though, so I get where the confusion comes from (at least when that confusion is genuine and not just boring troll shit). In Spanish, "América" refers to what in English is "the Americas", because in English we use separate terms for North, South, and (sometimes) Central America.

It's not pushback. It's just dishonest ragebait bullshit.

Oh give me a break. Developed countries have had below-replacement fertility rates for decades.

If your goal is to reduce birth rates, we do the things that we already know do that naturally: comprehensive, fact-based sex ed; cheap and easy access to contraceptives; social safety nets and support; etc etc etc.

It's not a mystery and it's not even difficult. You don't need to jump to straight to abhorrent crimes against humanity.

Christ. Here's a tip for your own mental health: do not pretend to be stupid.

Do not pretend that when - for whatever reason, be that laziness or brevity or typing-on-a-phone or character limits or whatever - people leave out something as trivial as an apostrophe especially in informal writing that you somehow suddenly became illiterate. You did not. And neither did they.
