I almost always get voicemails from the robots. Often enough they don't actually say anything but they stay on the line long enough for it to happen. I just get an empty voicemail with static. Fills up my voicemail too so I have to go clear it

While I would never want to use a malware of an anticheat, you're not quite right about Linux. EAC works on Linux, however it does not work through Proton. The developers must release a Linux build themselves if you want to use it. The effect is the same because they frequently don't bother to do so of course

I didn't queue with the cheater. He was a random on my team who happened to turn the cheats on when we were losing to a cheater. He left the game and everything to launch them.
The rest of us aren't cheaters. We have old steam accounts with lots of games, items, and play time. We have prime. We still got put into that lobby. I'm not good enough to look like a cheater on my playing alone either.

Just 2 days ago on prime I ran into a string of cheaters. At one point we had 2 on the enemy team and it caused someone on my team to go toggle. 3 cheaters in one match. On old accounts with everything.
I know he couldn't be an expert but the person on my team says he can he blatant every game and never get banned because we're on prime. I don't want to believe that but then he had a lot of items and didn't mind spinbotting at all.

I have an android phone and there is one clear difference: I can go elsewhere to get apps other than the official channel. For Microsoft I can go as far as installing a whole different OS on the device. You can do neither with iPhones. Sure, you can buy a different phone but it isn't as simple as that

How is that a messy version of time zones? If anything it is a clean version of time zones. All you need to know is someone's offset. There's also the added benefit of people that don't follow the same schedule being covered too just by having a different offset

You have to know the offset though. And if it is with multiple people you might even have multiple offsets. There's nothing easier about offsets over differing work times

While we're complaining about pasting, am I the only one who gets annoyed by sites that only have click to copy buttons for certain content? It's often either that or they try to help me out by highlighting it. What I really want is to highlight it myself so I can paste it into my terminal. It'd be great if there was a way to get the button click copies to go to my other clipboard but I can't find anything on it anywhere

I don't buy the idea that certain forms of life are more alive and valuable than others. All life is the same. There are plenty of plants that absolutely do not want us to eat them either. All things need food to survive though. You must consume to continue living. There are other problems with eating meat than concerns about killing a living thing, concerns which are much larger. At the very least we do need to be sure to not cause undue suffering in the process, but there is no living without killing other living things.

I think it's more hostile than you imagine. I'm quite young and can't even breaj into the industry with a job. I also am not bad. I do well in my interviews (I can feel it and they tell me too), I work on a variety of things and have side projects, I've done well at an internship, etc. It's a mess right now. I'm far from the only one my age struggling this way.
Had I not tried the self employment route I'd probably have starved to death or had to work at a gas station and then starved. I wasn't really ready for it either but that was the option. I live and breath programming and absolutely love it. I have since I was in my early teens. At this point though it's looking more and more like I'll have to do something else to get by. I actually always did want to be able to work on my own projects, but if I have to work in other fields then that will likely be the end of it. I won't be able to make enough to do anything but work.
I think it's just a hostile field in general at this point.

Reading Apple's policy makes it seem not so simple. Netflix, for example, avoids the cost because it is a subscription service which is specifically excluded from having a cut taken out. I can't speak for Kindle, but when I very recently read over this it was clear that just routing to a site to handle the purchase would not be sufficient to bypass this

People really don't like to do nothing. Of course there will always be people that do, but they are certainly not that large of a group. There are also plenty of things that need doing that don't produce resources or money. If by doing nothing you mean not sacrificing their lives to do menial tasks then yes, I would prefer most people do nothing. That isn't what would happen though.

It's a real good thing that all of the money was imaginary in the first place. It can come from wherever. It's just a means to allocate the resources that actually hold the value, but is not valuable itself.
