I really hate this analogy. Yes it's also published by Sega but the director, development team, and gameplay elements are quite different. Shenmue to me was mainly about NPC interaction and open-world exploration whereas Yakuza is just a straight brawler re-intepreting classic Yakuza tropes.

The move from Shenmue I to Shenmue II almost makes me think that was the direction Yu Suzuki was heading but never really ended up there. Have not played Shenmue III yet so I could be wrong.

There should be a prosumer game in the simracing genre. I don’t want to worry about refueling and tyre replacement, I just want to drive as realistically as a car can in a game. BeamNG is as close as we’re getting but it’s still quite slow and janky

Is there any legitimate reason for this? I also find it generally unresponsive and it lags hard inbetween searches and clicks. I mean I always update from terminal but for how they’re trying to develop the desktop experience I don’t get why it takes up so many resources despite being sluggish

They’ve been talking about this for years I feel like. Are they committed to releasing it any time soon? The last Pop update was well over a year ago. Are they moving to a rolling distribution model once cosmic is completed? I recall System76 saying they’d do annual releases but again they haven’t delivered on that

It’s not a money issue. These cities have all the money they can into reducing “homelessness” aka open air drug markets. It’s a policy issue. Get these guys off the street and tell them to get clean.

I hate that jellyfin does not sort films by categories like director or production company while plex does. Seems to be much more barebones than the alternatives

Culturally Colorado has been a haven for individualism and is the birthplace of the Libertarian party. Lots of do it yourselfers from the history of mining and cowboy heritage. It has always been a true purple state due to Denver being progressive and Colorado Springs being conservative.

But now with every Californian moving here because it’s cheaper, costs have gotten out of control and they are already voting for the very same policies that ruined the state they fled. It’s not “cool” at all.

Why use it? Probably no reason if you’re happy on debian. It’s just a solid distro and as other have said the best out-of-the-box desktop experience out there IMO. Definitely not going to win over any KDE fans but their tuned GNOME DE is really slick, and it’s only gonna get better when they release their own DE “COSMIC”.

I’ve been dailying Pop on all my main machines for years now without any problems. Think of it as Uncononical’d Ubuntu in a way but they’re really committed to making a unique footprint
