While not 100% exactly what you're looking for, Huberman Labs episode on MDMA is pretty close. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slUCmZJDXrk
The "don't lose the magic" supplementation is addressed but it is speculation based on anecdotal evidence and conjecture.

I bought my S76 laptop via my work's "choose your own workstation" program. It's a great way to support continued development of the software I use PLUS when you buy via S76 you get lifetime support for the device. The support is not something I've made use of often, but it certainly paid off the one time I needed it. Basically, it depends on your idea of "value" - do you value money (buy cheaper hardware) or time (buy S76 with support)?

there's the deepfake visual representation that we're discussing, but what's to say there isn't work being done on the acting side of things? I think there are broad horizons to what can be automated - especially in the world of pure media.

I suspect that acting itself will be reduced to algorithms. Expression of different emotions could be digitized. This could open further avenues of automation - authors could configure various different permutations (e.g. sincerity/sarcasm, surprise), the combination of expressions could be derived from context / sentiment analysis for the character, or perhaps each character could have a preset pack of opinions/values that informs their response. Given the constantly expanding capabilities of synthesis, these seem like natural areas that people will explore.
I agree that there is no need for any of this, but that's never stopped technological / artistic progress.

I don't know if we could get all the required nitrogen to sustain our current agricultural methods, but there are definitely people working towards normalizing the capture and reuse of the nutrients in urine. Our current practice of polluting waterways with our urine is a travesty though, and it behooves us to process our 'waste' in a more regenerative way.
See https://richearthinstitute.org for more.
