This takes me back. There exist emulators for these dongles as well, you run the a dumper with the dongle attached and load the program and it makes a dump file which you then use in the emulator.
I had to do this for a company so they could continue to use their old specialised Win98 software on modern computers using Dosbox and an emulator.

One of the main differences with MeshCore is that client nodes don't repeat messages, only dedicated repeater nodes repeat with the idea that they should be placed in more ideal locations.
Just don't mention MeshCore anywhere around Meshtastic, or they'll kickban you.

Another option is that whatever bug cellebrite was exploiting to extract data from iPhones in AFU mode is now subtly not working, leading to unexpected reboots when attempting extraction.

I very much doubt it. Far more likely to be a memory leak in the baseband which is exposed when the devices are unable to talk to the cellular network for a period of time.

It's a vector display, similar to how an oscilloscope display works. Check out the Vectrex video game console for another great example.

It also makes you wonder if novel crystal forms could be discovered by purposely seeding the process with other arbitrary seeds.

This is fascinating, such that I went looking for more information on this phenomenon and found an interesting preprint regarding the polymorphism of ritonavir suggesting that specific milling processes are able to reliably produce each form.
At least I think that's what it says, I'm definitely not a chemist!
https://chemrxiv.org/engage/chemrxiv/article-details/645112f...
