I agree, it's a really cool way to lay out code with commentary. I wonder if it would be useful to generate a layout like this from code interleaved with comments, moving the comments to the sidebar.

Doesn't it seem odd to have "Pricing" for a protocol that's meant to serve a similar function to IP addresses? Maybe I'm misunderstanding something.

I never quite understand this stuff, maybe someone can help.

Are cryptocurrencies supposed to be a potential replacement for real life cash? This was my understanding of the motivation behind Bitcoin, at least.

If so, why does it make sense that people can "generate" cash by proving some amount of work done? This of course cannot be done with normal cash.

Is the main functionality of these cryptocurrencies supposed to be "people can send currency to each other", or "people generate currency -- a number -- and sell this currency for real life money"?

Which dumb phone? I would like to try similar, but there are always certain Android apps I need (banking apps like BankID, payment apps). Do you get a "pure" dumb phone and then a separate Android device for when it's required, or a dumb phone which does a little bit of Androiding?

Use only default (white/black), red for bad, green for good. If you need more than that, like vim or whatever, then maybe a 'fullscreen' TUI is better, with a specified background and foreground. For CLI tools, I'm not sure if I prefer more colours.

The CSS to make the terminals look like iTerm was smooth, to the point I read them as screenshots.

Playing around with a bit more, I think the tool might not be suitable for my use cases. If I try it with the command `gcc -Wall` it thinks that each of W, a, l, (and l), are separate single-character arguments, and therefore fails badly:

Additionally, it is really slow, I suppose because gcc has a huge man page? It is really useful for lots of small commands like ls and find, and things where I often forget parameters. Maybe it could be changed so that I can whitelist only certain commands to trigger the hints?

I just tried it out, nice! It's a useful tool, but the installation process didn't work for me following the steps as written. As it stands:

* The shellock directory must be in ~/Downloads, otherwise the shellock_bindings.fish fails to source it.

* The installation script in the repo didn't work because it tried to symlink shellock_bindings.fish without specifying an absolute path (`~/.config/fish/conf.d/shellock_bindings.fish -> ./shellock_bindings.fish`) -> caused a recursive symlink which broke.

Now I got it working by making sure to place shellock in Downloads (not ideal long term, I often clear my Downloads folder), and manually symlinking the bindings explicitly. It seems to work pretty well!

Here's a short writeup of a bit of my build system for a project I'm working on. It's pretty simple, and is just a relatively clean way of recording the repository state when code was compiled, so I can reproduce results later on. Just thought the interaction between git, cmake, and C++ was a bit nice!
