I am long time lurker here and recently I got fed up of the overall pro BigTech sentiment.

So I am curious. Where are you at home and who do you work for? Is HN really just made out of Silicon Valley tech workers?

Most people here seem to have experienced a Nextcloud version from 3 years ago.

In version 31 the frontend has been rewritten in Vue and with Nextcloud Office aka Collabora Online you get much more than a shitty GDocs.

Of course some apps like the calendar have not been rewritten.

Most readers do not understand what it takes to rewrite the frontend for an entire ecosystem.

HNYSF: Can we fast forward to the plateau of this inglorious AI hype cycle? These comments are beyond me. Why try reason about the unreasonable?

LLM are non factual no matter what. Even if it is called Schoolar GPT does not make it any different.

We used dribdat for the open data hackdays in the canton Uri of Switzerland.

And we will gladly use it for the next public value hackday.

Being able to selfhost dribdat was what ringed to me. It is great to see the project grow and getting funded. Thanks for the initiative!

OpenAi does the same. Can this somehow used to quarantine other credentials? F.e. is it checking the key and the secret? Or is exposing the key sufficient?
