Is the presentation bird alive or dead? What is "fired" in this context? Is the presentation bird unrested? What does "rested" mean in this context? Why does the kitchen need to "butcher" the chicken that's "rested"? Doesn't that mean the rested chicken is still alive? What does "slowing" the other, presumably presentation, chicken mean?

No, lisp is not the Linux of languages. Steve Yegge sums it up "Every single non-standard extension, everything not in the spec, is 'wrong' with Common Lisp. This includes any support for threads, filesystem access, processes and IPC, operating system interoperability, a GUI, Unicode, ..."

And to answer your last question, no, lisp cannot read like English since predicate precedes subject a la Yodaspeak.

No, intellectual property is as evil as nuclear codes, Coke, or Disney. The free software zealots started out as normal guys looking to save a buck and only later came to justify their cheapness with some insane moral legerdemain.
