Seems to me we need tooling to do automatic offensive security as soon as a new frontier model comes out, with quickly turned around patches using the same frontier model. Rinse and repeat. Virtuous agentic security loop.

Amazing. Can they now go hire some really good information architects and designers and come up with a cohesive user experience please. They have the right to win here and if they can give me something that feels like Codex / Claude desktop I am sold.

I'm with you here. If we skate to the puck, LLMs will continue to write tighter and tighter code, comments, unit tests, integration tests, etc. I would also assume that it will become increasingly good at code organization, architecture, and understanding intent. i feel like I am a series of monthly shifting of the goal posts...."LLMs can't autocomplete code", "LLMs can't write a high quality function", "LLM's can't understand small repos". "LLM's can't understand legacy code bases".....

Just to make sure I follow, do you mean the "music is math" idea fails, or that my question does? I'm not saying math has nothing to do with music. Frequency ratios and rhythmic divisions are clearly there. My point is that you can have deep musical ability without ever thinking in those terms, which suggests music is more than the math that describes it.

Rhythm, the core of global music, is math.

2,000 year old Chinese music uses sanfen sunyi. You take a pipe length, cut it by a third, then extend the new one by a third, alternating. Hey look.....a petatonic scale.

Arabic music pitches even more. The maqam system uses intervals that fall between Western half steps, often called "quarter tones," Some used "commas" which divide the whole tone into 9 parts. This gives you octave with about 53 steps.

This assumes other technological breakthroughs don't also happen in parallel. I'll go out on a limb with nothing more than a hunch that we are in the beginning stages of understanding mathematics, physics, and biology.

Not sure about profitable but the lower the cost is the generate electricity, the better off the world will be. Cracking energy is, to state the obvious, a huge unlock.

This might be clumsy but I will say it anyway. If music is math, how do you explain people who have innate musical abilities without formal academic training in notation, music theory, circle of fifths, etc.

I worked at a [Not to be named Country]'s monetary authority. Part of everyone's duty was to receive shipments of newly printed cash from De La Rue and get it into the vault before it was distributed to banks. Seeing millions of dollars packaged in cardboard boxes being moved from the street to the vault with men posted up in the bushes with machine guns was something I will never forget.
