Ocean Cleanup always felt scammy to me. Just a feeling. The videos they released of the nets dropping tons of plastic trash onto the deck of a ship just seemed off. All of the plastic looked brand new. And knowing that the "great garbage patch" is really just a bunch of microplastics also screamed fake to me.

I love these stories. The timeline is precious. And the comments from folks saying "gee, you picked the most complicated business entity, joke's on you!"
Just looking at my own state (Michigan) I can form the most "complicated" entity for $60 filing fee. Using a fill-in-the-blank form online. And have it approved the same day for an additional $50. Get an EIN online from the IRS in 10 minutes. Walk to a bank and open an account in about another hour. Annual renewal fee is $20.
In less than a day and for $110, I have a corporation, EIN (federal tax registration number), and bank account. Open for business. An LLC is the same, just a different form filed with the state.
I can then open credit card accounts online in the business name, register for sales tax online (get the license in about a week), and open a stripe account.
Oh, and a businessowners general liability insurance policy is costing me $205 per year. $1 million in liability coverage.

Just FYI to everyone who manages a website. We received another facebook pixel "wiretapping" lawsuit demand from another bottom-feeding ambulance chasing law firm. This is despite us having a CMP and blocking the pixel for people in CA who don't consent. It just not worth the headache anymore. We're just dropping the facebook pixel altogether. The marking team will have to figure out how to live without it.

Unfortunately, there are two things keeping me on Windows:
1) Office (libreoffice is a steaming pile)
2) Fortnite
If those can be solved, I'm done with Windows. I've been a windows fanboi since 3.11. But I'm finally ready to move to Debian desktop (even Ubuntu has gotten crappy lately).
