Why cant I add a MCP server to any of the Google AI products unless I subscribe to https://business.gemini.google/ . This is like selling a laptop with out a USB port.

I think I have been using their tools since they started. Jetbrains could have been Cursor of IDE world, but they missed it with so many confusing AI offering

I signed an enterprise deal a week before the announcement. Here is what Heroku provides that I can't find anywhere else.

1. Deal under the SF Master Contract (I have one AE/SE to yell at and am treated like a major customer due to our overall spend. Heroku is only 1% of our overall SF spend)

2. Best support for C# apps

3. Heroku Connect provides a Postgres endpoint for SF Data (No need to mess with API's or Mulesoft)

4. Applink allows me to call apps running on Heroku (No need to mess with API's or Mulesoft)

Right now, I am sticking with Heroku.

I know most of their product team was gutted, so I don't know what is going to happen long term. Time will tell (And yes, I have started looking at alternatives)

PS: If you know of a provider who can provide all the above 4, let me know

Currently I have a RAID setup thus if my windows PC hard drive crashes, I can still keep working. How ever if my power supply or motherboard crashes I cant do much.

Assuming if I buy an identical PC, how can keep my 2nd PC syncd with my primary PC.

Right now I do back up to an external drive but that will take few hours of restoring and their is a risk it may not work.

I used to work on stratus aftServer but thats an overkill for me. I am ok wiht few hours of downtime.

Well I can live with out realtime but prefer some thing that runs every few hours.

My primary concern is some one else in the company erasing files by mistake or a hacker erasing / encrypting my files. Github is a perfect soltuion as the files are imutable ...but any one who has my user id / pw can go and erase.

Putting a server with a Verbatim Blu-ray Recordable in a remote data center and backing up to that. The only issue is the advance investment on a server and also the max capacity of 100GB.

Ideal service is some thing like Amazon S3 but the files cant be erased at all (The only way files can be erased is when I stop paying)

Is their immutable backup provider?

Currently I am using a BlueRay device to have a immutable backup of my server. Each week after a back up I take a disk and put it in a vault.

This is a bit cumbersom process and also I like to have a real time backup.

I am looking for online service that can provide the same type of service. The only way some one can erase the backup is by not paying the bills.

Having access to online erase function is not acceptable as one of the eployees can go postal and erase the content.

Thoughts ?

Spend some time on https://www.webhostingtalk.com/ and you will find a lot of info. For example https://www.fdcservers.net/ can give you 10TB storage and 100GB bw for around $300....but keep in mind the lower the price you pay, the lower the quality...just like any other products.

Can I put an instance to sleep and just pay for the storage ?Could not find the info on your site.

Also for Windows instance, what do people use to connect. RDP seems slow. My primary use case is software development trying to learn CUDA programing.

I am on Aderole, and it works for about 6 hours. During this time I can concentrate a lot, but can't listen to any music or any sound, it just annoys me.

I put on a noise canceling headphone with out music (The bose seem to do a good job)
