I've been using Shimmer for close to a year now and would highly recommend it. Have found it really useful and it's worth the money. I go over super specific issues with my coach each week in the 15 minute sessions: e.g. how do I prepare for a work trip without being late for my plane/forgetting half the stuff I need, how do I avoid being accidentally grumpy with my colleagues.
I've written a detailed review here: https://www.focusbear.io/blog-post/my-thoughts-on-shimmer-ca...

I built Late No More because being late for meetings was becoming very problematic for me (I got fired from a job because of it). I have ADHD and it’s way too easy for me to see a notification for a calendar appointment, space out and then forget about the meeting for five minutes. Sometimes I hit Dismiss instead of Snooze and never show up to the meeting at all.
My experience is that most calendar apps aren’t built for an ADHD brain like mine. I decided to build a Mac app that would help me and hopefully other people show up on time.
Late-No-More gives you notifications that make sense:
1. a notification 15 minutes before to remind you to prepare: this one is easy to dismiss
2. a notification 2 minutes before to remind you to actually join the dang meeting - this one is not easy to dismiss
As the time gets closer to the meeting, the notification gets more and more obnoxious. It changes colour and starts playing annoying motivating sound effects. The goal is to get you to join the meeting 2 minutes early.
## Code
App is open source: https://github.com/Focus-Bear/late-no-more
Mac only for now but I'd love to do a Windows/mobile app if anyone wants to help

You can use focusbear.io to block websites (e.g. hackernews) on desktop and mobile.

There's definitely a lot of crossover. Not the same app but I built focusbear.io to help with my own ADHD symptoms. It blocks distractions and also helps build habit routines.

I've built Focus Bear (focusbear.io) to solve similar problems. It works on Android and on desktop.

Another one to add to the list is Focus Bear: $5/month for cross device distraction blocking (desktop and mobile) and it also has habit stacking features. We've been building it for the last 12 months and it works pretty well.

If you want a desktop solution now, Focus Bear (focusbear.io) can do it. Our iOS app will have a similar UX to Clearspace (just waiting for apple to approve our Screentime permissions).

Another ADHD founder here. I got value from the first session. I've always had massive issues with punctuality (I got fired from a CTO job because I rocked up late to a crucial board meeting among other things) and talking it through with my coach helped me come up with strategies I hadn't thought of (using Alexa/Google Home style devices to give me audible alerts). I was able to implement the strategies immediately and have found the follow up sessions similarly valuable. My punctuality has been heaps better in the last three weeks :)

Have you tried the VA strategy yourself? I don't think it's that simple to get a VA to help. I have used a lot of VAs over the years and there is a significant time cost for me in training them up to help. It's not necessarily a quick win and I have found it very frustrating when they don't understand my needs. Delegating boring work to specialists absolutely works well and I do this a lot.
It would be cool if there were VAs that were trained in how best to help people with ADHD. I would see that as being supplementary to Shimmer. I use Shimmer myself and find it useful in coming up with strategies that work for me.

It's not a normie coach. I use this service and my coach has ADHD herself (plus some other traits). I've been using it for 3 weeks and have found it very useful. I think you dismiss the role of metacognition. There are strategies that work for my brain, they're just different to what works for most people. I have found it very useful and have recommended it to other people.

Zoho Creator is pretty nice if you don't mind closed source/proprietary. You drag and drop fields onto forms and it creates a database behind the scenes. Can be customised using their scripting language which is similar to javascript.

Agree that high code review latency is bad for team productivity. The best code reviews are timely, polite and actionable (not just nitpick comments about syntax).
