Thiel who's been a longtime supporter of Trump said a few weeks ago that the US “should not have” launched the Iran war and that "there were a lot of mistakes that were made and that US may lack both the hard power and the soft power to prevail". i think at least he doesn't blindly support the admin and is true to his beliefs being opposed to neoconservative interventions.
on a separate note, Anthropic has been having private meetings with religious leaders about Claude’s possible consciousness and moral status. I fear the anti-christ could just be an AI gone rogue.

for those that have spent 20 years of their career, perfecting the art of coding / writing / research / all forms of knowledge work, it sure is depressing to see the career moats we tried to shore up just diminish practically overnight. The ability to operate at a higher level of abstraction is real, but so is the sudden devaluation of skills that previously required years to acquire.
