A document RAG API based on multimodal embeddings that's intended for data extraction. If your document workflow involves search and you're looking for ways to cut down on VLM (OCR) costs, Ragextract provides a simpler alternative (less bells & whistles) which makes sense for startups, SMEs and freelancers.

As someone who works on AI document workflows, I use Ragextract myself to reliably execute for various clients in finance, insurance and proptech. I'm currently working on marketing/messaging for the service and could do with more feedback and use-cases.

Show HN: Clustering Text Embeddings

I've been playing around with clustering text embeddings to find similar groups of things.

Grouping similar things is useful because:

  \* For your user surveys, quickly find similar answers to group participants and find personas
  \* For your reviews, quickly group customers who have similar complaints to spot issues early
  \* For community comments, figure what the heck everyone else is saying before adding your own informed opinion

I built 3 demos as n8n workflow templates which show you how to do this:

Show HN: I replicated generic AI startups using n8n

I recently released 20+ AI-focused, source-available, prompt-available, templates for free which I feel could be of great interest to this community. Note: If you don't use n8n, no worries; the ideas, approaches and logic are definitely transferrable to other implementations.

Bit of a controversial opinion (since we are on a programmer's forum) but if you just want to soley focus on the "AI" part and not get bogged down by the code, use a no-code tool like flowise (https://flowiseai.com/) or even better, n8n (https://n8n.io). You will create 100x more successful "showcase-able" AI experiments in the same time it'll take to spin up one from scratch - and guaranteed to have a lot more fun doing so!
