Don't you just launch a good router? Some people will be attracted by the open source firmware. Some will be attached by a good router. You will be attracted by not having to write firmware.

Another way of looking at this, find an industry or community that have particular needs in a router and sell to them

It really is, but you will still want wifi, so you need a team of internet connected wifi points with central control, which play nicely with each other. I have use Ubiquiti in the past. Is there an open source version of what they do?

Well, you don't need to use that 'massive' plug to charge your phone....usb sockets are a thing. And the lights in my house don't have any plugs on them.

And... the plug really isn't that big at all.

Specifically, they could stop using the USD a clearing currency... causing hyperinflation in the US.

They could embargo US firms, Visa and Mastercard first. Tech firms second.

They could sell Dutch lithography to China. In fact they could ally with China in return for turning a blind eye on Taiwan.

They could stop spending billions on US arms, in fact that is well underway.

US shot its bolt in Iran.... everyone is much less scared of the US since it attempted to use its force. It can't sustain a single carrier in the gulf with allied countries at its back. It has already spent 80% of its patriot missiles.

Except not every home has a driveway. With on street parking the norm in many places. Trailing a lead to your car on the other side of the road is frowned upon

Prediction.... 'about to', will mean over the next fewdecades. Retail product barcodes may be the fastest to go, over the next 2 decades. Other uses, like self printed labels for warehouse stock control will be here for the foreseeable. You might install a new Manufacturing Execution System in 20 years that supports it. But the Warehouse Management System and ERP don't...

...and middle paid workers.

And workers in general. We have come to see income tax as the norm, but it is a relatively recent invention. For a socialist tax would be according to your ability to pay, which has more to do with wealth than income. To an aspirational conservative it should be seen as penalising success.

Time for some new ideas.
