As a non physicist, this always seemed to be the most logical explanation of the double slit experiment. The particle by default carries out all possible variations weighted by their likelihood of happening, so you get the wavey pattern like a normal distribution. By measuring it at an earlier point, we restrict ourselves to the outcome of only one of its possible pasts.
Measuring something doesn't change its behavior, just the range of possibilities.

Nobody really doubts that some art fails because its just not good. Differentiating art that is technically superb to art that really resonates is a more interesting conversation.
I do game dev. It's very easy to think "this animation could be better". It's a lot harder to figure out "could this be made more fun". Tactics vs strategy.

My impression is that aside from some crazies who generally get downvoted unilaterally, you rarely see antagonistic opposition to saying Tesla is overvalued. This doesn't hold if you instead make a meta observation that claiming it's overvalued would earn antagonism.
It's not that surprising. The former is voicing an opinion. The latter is effectively just a pre-emptive insult to everyone who disagrees with you.
Similar arguments hold for any popular unpopular opinion.

How do you plan to handle players that others don't like? That's a fairly common problem for TTRPGs. You'll see a question every other day on rpg stack exchange about a troublesome player. Off the top of my head
* Players who don't play fairly
* Players who are rude
* Players who break game norms, like always wanting to detract from what the group wants to do ("It's what my character would do in this situation")
* Players who role play too hard in boring ways (e.g. overly philosophical debaters)
* Players who are overtly sexual
* Players who make off color jokes
* Players who aren't engaged enough
* Players who are selfish or antagonistic
* Players who others cannot understand due to language / accents
* Players who are racist/sexist/make unwanted advances irl

Sounds like bad advice to me. My manager is my friend and is generally a strong advocate/influence on my success. If forced to make a decision that favors the company over me, I don't see any need to consider that a betrayal or a forfeiture of friendship. To put it at an extreme, I don't require unbridled nepotism to be happy with a manager's treatment of me.

I enjoyed listening to her, but I don't know if I understand her point here. There was something intuitive about why certain processes require a large number of nano seconds due to physics.
McKinsey DS here. I don't think I've ever heard such a claim about data science whatever, although I would probably believe it. I do hear such claims a lot in the context of big transformations.
These claims are usually high level and based on surveys or whatever. Failing usually means leadership gave up. As far as high level awareness of project success rates, it's probably accurate enough to justify the point: companies are generally bad at doing X. This tends to be true for many different kinds of X, because business is hard.
I generally don't agree that people make up destined to fail projects for selfish gains. I'm sure it happens, but that seems bottom of the barrel in terms of problems to fix. With DS specifically, leaders just don't know what to do. So they hire data scientists, and the data scientists don't know anything about the business, so they make some dashboards or whatever and nobody uses them. It's really not easy. Business is hard.

It also depends on interconnectedness of social networks. If the 30% that had it is highly concentrated in one sub group, then you might see low rates now, but high rates when groups start intermingling. Herd immunity at a national level won't save nursing homes, because almost by definition, there won't be herd immunity in that local community.

Personally I think the larger concerns are that if you provide UBI to everyone (not 120 random people) you're going to see severe distortions on the local economy that will encourage outsourcing wherever possible. Basic economic reasoning states that income has declining marginal utility, so wages will need to rise to incentivize people to do the work they were doing previously. Or it'll just leave.
Feels unsustainable to me.
