You missed my point (and the author’s it appears).

You’re claiming to understand learning. People do phds in learning from multiple domains (psych, neuro, ux, etc). You already know it all?

The rabbit hole is deep. Coming in here and saying yeah yeah we all get it already is a sign that you don’t.

Oh my goodness, you literally wrote the ideas I was thinking about from a learning perspective.

I'm a young developer and I feel like I have such little context for where and why we are today.

A few examples:

- what tradeoffs did companies examine before concluding to move to microservices from monoliths? Which companies decided not to? Why?

- When Angular.js first came out, what made companies adopt it? What were they using before?

- Why did everyone leave PHP?

- What made Postgres become popular? What were they using before? Who decided to stick with their original tech?

Does there exist a chart with maybe

- industries on the x axis (healthcare, transportation, ecommerce, finance...) and

- technologies on the y axis (Next.js, React, Angular, Postgres, AWS, MySQL, Jenkins, etc.), and

- each cell is did this industry adopt this technology in general? How long did it take? Why not initially? What changed?

This doesn't make much sense to me. How can there be a new scientific method?

Shouldn't these somehow boil down to the same thing: hypothesis, experiment, evidence against the null?

I feel like my company is a little too liberal with it. I suspect it might be a sign of some sort of fragmentation, but I'm not sure what kind (e.g. org chart, proj mgmt, no established point of contact for certain things).

You don't see any benefit to having one mega amazing course?

You think there's no way to overcome the limitation you mentioned (bad information) at all? How about a peer review process?
