This is why rare steak is ok, but rare ground beef hamburgers are not. Although less cooked through burgers are sometimes served in restaurants that grind their beef fresh right before cooking

I agree that this could be a good middle ground. This causes the webhook to be a push notification with the eventId/cursor, that then causes the consumer to pull the actual data (along with other recent events if desired).

These are not completely different things, but maybe different sides of the same coin.

You enjoy the act of gardening, so you do not automate it away.

You enjoy the clean home, not the act of cleaning, so you may be interested in automating it away.

It seems you enjoy designing or using software, as opposed to programming/building software. So you automate the programming/building away.

Good callout to make sure people are aware.

This change is totally fair from my perspective. I see the "always free" as "you will never pay for this for as long as you keep it" as opposed to "this will always be available, and free". People who use free services like this should generally be aware that they are likely to go away or be reduced at some point. I got hit by this with PlanetScale and had to move my stuff to a self-hosted postgres.

Yes, totally agree that they are primarily directly cheating themselves.

But it also indirectly cheats their peers who are being surpassed by the cheating students (at least in school). Similarly for cheating in interviews.

Unfortunately the cheating students can cause a race to the bottom where the non-cheating students are pressured to cheat in order to keep up. This pressure to cheat to keep up can become an even bigger issue if teachers try to make tests longer or harder, whether to challenge the cheaters, or if the teachers don't recognize that LLMs are being used.

You should be able to suffix the x domain with "cancel" to view the content through a proxy. i.e. "xcancel.com/...."

I think approaches like this have potential. Only time will tell. This reminds me of the mixture of experts taken by deepseek r2 (I think it was r2, at least), but less specific models I guess.

I have often wondered how tools like GHCP choose the best model for the job when set to "auto".

I interpreted it as the author adding some internal dialog about how they want to do more research on the article/person in question so they were opening up a new tab so they could learn more. But I can see how this could certainly be some copy/paste artifact.

I do think the article title is a bit misleading.

"75% More Pedestrians Have Been Killed Since 2009. Giant Trucks and SUVs Are *One Reason*" would be a more accurate title based on my reading.

I can see the greater complex-wide cycle argument for complex wide amenities, leasing office support, and maintenance request response/resolution times.

Everyone moves out, so the above issues become a higher priority until units are backfilled. Since units are filled, the above issues become less important (to the owners at least, not the renters). Then renters receive this worse service, start moving out in waves, and the cycle continues.

The mold, and in-unit plumbing, and insect issues seem more like routine maintenance types of things to me. But compounded slightly by longer maintenance request response/resolution times.

To be fair this is every commercial model. We have already seen GHCP increase prices by anywhere from 10-100x (depending on usage). And old models get retired all the time. While these are not exactly the same as a cutting edge model being shut down, increasing prices a super high amount leads to effectively the same outcome.

Where is it forbidden by the standard? I don't see anything in the GET definition in RFC 9110 [1] forbidding that. My understanding was that this is just undefined behavior. And not recommended due to your point about some third-party CDNs and RPs handling that UB in different ways.
