People do this for SEO purposes. They think that this increases the amount of backlinks to their site, thus increasing their rank in Google and other search engines.
This is less true than it used to be, but people still do it.

Wake up. Pee.
If it's Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, weigh myself.
Get breakfast ready for my kids. A banana, half a fiber bar, and a cup of milk.
Start my coffee. Nothing special, just an old school coffee maker that uses a standard filter. Three cups of water and three spoonfuls of coffee grounds.
Make my oatmeal. A quarter cup of oats and a half cup of water. Put it in the microwave for two minutes.
Eat breakfast with my kids. Then I drop them off a school.
Once I get home, I log into work and eat an orange. Afterwards I start my day.

> Does [mixing the syntax] happen to you too?
Yes. I switch between Java and JavaScript/TypeScript frequently. Probably the biggest syntax typo I make is switching the arrow functions: -> vs =>. Also, switching between the various `.includes`, `.contains`, `.size`, and `.length`.
Since my IDE catches it immediately, it doesn't really have any long-term affects.

I've recently discovered `git switch -` and `git merge -`. It switches to the previous branch you were on or merges the previous branch you were own.
No need to know the name.
So if I need to pull updates on the previous branch I was on and merge them into my current branch, I can just:

    git switch -
    git pull
    git switch -
    git merge -

Recently my cable internet service was automatically "upgraded" from 30 Mbps to 300 Mbps (along with an increase in price).
I measured the speed both before and after the upgrade date, and the speed didn't change - around 20 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up (here's a speedtest: https://www.speedtest.net/result/15769158888).
Also my ISP sent out a technician because they detected a problem. The tech didn't see any issues, so he replaced the outside cable (it gets chewed on by squirrels). While he was here, he recommended I get a new cable modem.
Should I get a new modem?
Here are my current details:
ARRIS SURFboard SB6141 8x4 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AJHDZSI/
which I've had since February 2016.
Linksys AC1200 Wi-Fi router
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JZWQTKO/
which I've had since July 2017.
My main computer is connected to the router via Ethernet, and Windows networking settings says the speed to the router is 100 Mbps.
My work laptop is connected to the router via WiFi, and Windows networking settings says the speed (Receive/Transmit) to the router is 585/866 (also in Mbps).
My ISP is Spectrum, and I live in a suburb in SW Ohio (Dayton area).

> There’s no such thing as a “four-digit number”, only a four-digit base-10 numeral
Being further pedantic - aren't all digits base ten? I thought that was part of the definition of digit.
Other bases would have different words for their numbers - bit in binary, for example (which, yeah, I know, it a combination of the words "binary" and "digit").

Do you mean darkweb?
Deepweb is just the parts of the web that aren't indexable or searchable - like your bank account login. There are lots of social networks that could be considered deepweb, including parts of Facebook. I think Discord might be deepweb as well.
Darkweb is a subset of deepweb that is typically served via tor/onion. Facebook even as a darkweb address. It's been awhile since I played with it, but there's several chans on there.
It's slow and boring though.

The last project I worked on, the build took around 20 minutes.
The project before that the build took around 8 minutes.
In both cases I felt it was more how the build was set up rather than something that was inherent to Java. (The 20 minute build was a Spring/Groovy project, the 8 minute one was a Java Swing application.)
This is where using TDD really shined. Modifying the code and running a test took seconds instead.
Sadly I was always one of the few who used this approach. Even seniors would spend days or even an entire sprint doing something that would take me less than a day.
