Not true at all. Exits and switching lanes all require confirmation from the drivers in other cars, not in Teslas on FSD

Just because something should exist, doesn't mean it can be created today. The effort to build and attract open source projects is a monumental task. Unless you're offering something BIG - there's alot of inertia to overcome.

I'd focus on building on top of the GitHub API to create those features you want. Not only will you focus your time on the unique stuff, GitHub can help with distribution and discovery.

When you say "we need" do you mean... "you want to see" ? The highest selling vehicles are trucks and so the company that makes the best selling car wants in. Seems logical and good for the industry

Exactly ! The social stuff requires a network effect... hilarious that the makers of Facebook bet their chips on the same bet as their existing products. Apple knows it doesn't need groups of people to use this together, just enough early adopters to help pay for (and more importantly help guide) the user research and material advancement.

I'd bet that Ford is the only legacy American brand that will make it to 2033. And it's because of their heavy investment to manufacture more and not just assemble - great to see it happen

In 2017 it was relatively empty... but the company filled it very quickly as it grew from 200 to 2000 people. So much so they leased out the building next door and tore down some walls to deal with capacity. Sad to hear it's being shut down that office is truly incredible.

Worrying yes, but i think it's required. KYC laws in the US mandate a 5 year retention AFTER the account is closed:

Markets are irrational in the short term for sure, but very good allocators of capital long term.

re: Twitter Price is just the last transaction to clear and the buyers can make that transaction for a million reasons, some of them betting that intrinsically the price doesn't reflect their value of the company. Seems fine to me. Wrong in the short term now looking back, but a million other things may have happened differently (TikTok could have been banned, Musk could have taken over differently, Macro trends could have reversed...etc)

Same. but not for the reason of mining rights. They definitely have long term contracts for their own production secured but are a long ways from cornering that market.

I think the energy side of their business is about to grow tremendously and they'll reduce profit margin and continue growing crazy fast on the auto side.

"Shutting down factories" is the not the same as slowing production. Tesla is expanding their production since they are wildly profitable.

I'd bet against that. Tesla is flush with cash, zero debt, and growing revenue annually more that most Fortune 100 companies. They are very profitable without any subsidies and still have a 28% profit margin on the cars they sell
