When I lived in NYC during the Summers of 2005 and 2006 I carried a real compass for this exact purpose.

Walking a block in the wrong direction before figuring it out was not worth going without.

There is a small-cap Crypto project that is coming out of Japan. Dev Protocol.

Making open activities sustainable with staking

They allow people to stake the Dev Protocol token and split the rewards with the Open Source project. They are already integrated with GitHub.

This doesn't answer immediate concerns, but supporting Open Source is their entire angle.

For cameras or telescopes, there has to be some kind of stabilization bases out there.
