What a naïve article. People don’t write software this way anymore. A Gannt chart? We don’t use those anymore.
People have to stop promoting this narrative of the AI doesn’t make you move faster as it’s not helping anybody.
I get it. We all worked hard for our skills and it’s really difficult watching them get automated away, but it’s been this way since the printing press assembly lines and the industrial revolution itself. Things change, and you have to adapt to them and stop thinking about it from a centric point of view. The narrative people should be pushing is that you can build great things with AI.
Of course you might not have a job for a while and yes, that’s a big deal but it doesn’t mean that AI is wrong or stupid. It means you have to adapt.

You're thinking is like everyone else's, and it's backwards. The world will learn to accept it as the standard way of doing things and people will appreciate one generation over another and look at manual image creation as a niche activity like blacksmithing vs assembly-line manufacturing and automation. With the latter, you appreciate the intent and the end result. Same thing here, people are just adjusting to it.

Are you saying that Claude will help you perform malicious attack against infrastructure if you ask it to and that anthropic should be able to stop that?
I could see reasonable use cases for this like penetration testing against your own infrastructure. That’s not the same as making weapons or meth.

That's what happens when you're so untrustworthy as Sam Altman. This is coming to roost now. Ever since Paul Graham even said he'll get whatever he wants by any means necessary, basically. And then his board turns on him.
He's a constant liar.

This is incredible. I just blew through $200 last night in a few hours on 1M context. This is like the best news I've heard all year in regards to my business.
What is OpenAIs response to this? Do they even have 1M context window or is it still opaque and "depends on the time of day"

I know the money is good, but if I were you (or any OpenAI employee), I'd move over to Google or Anthropic posthaste.
Is it really worth the long-term risk being associated with Sam Altman when the other firms would willingly take you and probably give you a pay bump to boot?
It doesn't make sense to me why anyone would want to associate themselves with Altman. He is universally distrusted. No one believes anything he says. It's insane to work with a person who PG, Ilya, Murati, Musk have all designated a liar and just general creep.
Defending him or the firms actions instantly makes you look terrible, like you'll gladly take the "Elites vs UBI recipients" his vision propagates.
Shame on you people. What a disgusting vision.
