However if a rockstar were to protest peacefully and shout “Black Lives Matters” then throw a rock through a police car window..
…I’d assume that would be judged differently than an attempted murder and trashing a hotel room.
The question is what would be the judgement for all three?

The funny thing is…
You’re stating the problem with that whole sector.
I really wish product owners, researchers and tool creators had more actual real world experience on the remediation side. I think that’s the reason we have so many crappy tools.
- We need a better way of addressing business logic issues and sensitive data leakage which starts at the data model and flows from there.
- Within large organizations we need better risk data about vulns to aid with prioritization and remediation which is always the larger problem (sifting through noise)
- We need automated threat modeling tools that reduce a teams need to start from zero
Fundamentally a tool is a waste of time if it can’t tell you there’s “x% possibility of downtime or sensitive data leakage.”
Addressing the risk equation (r=il) where the impact and likelihood variables are baked into every tool and based in real world data is where we should be.
Until then, vulnerability scanning and management will continue to suck.

So what’s…
been the impact of OpenAI and meta glasses / headsets on the blind community at large?
Based on your statements it seems that the real value of AI is increasing the participation rate of visually impaired people in the global workforce.
If Elon or Sam can convince governments and insurance companies to pay for AI-powered glasses as a healthcare necessity maybe there’s a pathway forward for AI and VC class after all.
…maybe that’s the real game plan for Marc Andreesen, Kanye, Elon and the others.
They’re not really Nazi’s just early adopters choosing the “innovative freedom” promised by Emperor Palpatine and the Sith over the slow march of the Senators of the Republic.
Sorry, I’ve been watching too much Andor.

I’m not sure it matters.
Many will say Bill is attempting to reshape his legacy and narrative post-Epstein.
The most important thing is that money is being returned to society on an accelerated timeline.
Without this redistribution of wealth from billionaires back to especially the middle and lower classes we are headed for violent revolution on a massive scale.
Hopefully other billionaires redistribute during their lifetimes to address housing, education and health issues as well.

Yeah.
The ignorance comes from lack of experience and it happens often on both sides.
Engineers think they deserve a big equity package for writing CRUD apps.
“Businesspeople” with no startup experience, never raised money and never worked in sales think they have value.
If both co-founders have no prior startup experience then they both need to put in the same amount of money and split equity 51/49 or 60/40 (while considering dilution).
No once can build a meaningful company alone so you need to have a team and that team must have a servant leader willing to break ties.
It’s only inexperienced people that don’t know / understand this.

I agree.
The story of Anwar Al-Awlaki and his American US-born son who was killed in the attack authorized by the Obama administration must not be forgotten.
The issue of presidential powers and conduct must be a non-partisan issue. Trump merely walked through the cracks created under Obama.
Being well-intentioned (“protecting Americans against terrorism”) is not sufficient excuse for murdering an American minor due to the sins of his father no matter how much the Obama administration DOJ attempted to make it legally permissible to do so.

In the past, you had to practically be on a Wheaties box or major magazine cover to be considered a celebrity.
Now everyone is a “celebrity”and hubris is at an all time high.
I’ve been in tech for 25+ years and never heard of this person until now but it’s not the first time I’ve heard similar talk.
These maxims strike me more as bitter senior neck beard developer complains about the rest of his team in a passive aggressive way at the work lunch table before COVID.
If you’re a celebrity, we don’t need your snarky complaints. We need you using your “celebrity” to make things better.

As stated in the book “Lessons of History,” this is what billionaires should be doing with the wealth that they’ve snatched from the poor, marginalized and unlucky.
When we started on this tech journey, the hope was for a better more equal world,
Instead we have the worst inequality since the Great Depression, mass surveillance on a global scale and the destruction of the middle class.
Inequality is a part of our society. Some are born with better genetics and opportunities in a lucky part of the world.
If you are lucky to become a billionaire your purpose is to serve humanity and redistribute that wealth to your workers and to society at large.
If not, the only eventual outcome is repression by the billionaire class or forced redistribution through violent revolution.
These are the lessons that history has taught us.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lessons_of_History
