But since when a VM is used as a workstation?. AFAIK we know that this vulnerability could be executed via javascript. If the browser is safe then we are safe about it without patch-hacking the kernel.

For most cases, the fix is worst than the solution.

"When you are poor..."
When you are poor, then every DECENT and legal job is fine.
People say that there is not job and its not true. If you find then you could get. However, most jobs are crap but crap that its legal and decent. My first job was 12h x 7 days, however, i enjoyed and earned money. In my second job, i doubled my salary and so on.
There are a lot of people that simply don't want to work. Usually the first job is crap. But most people want a perfect job without having the degree, experience and expertise.
And if you can't find a job then join the army.

Generating a random number by using microseconds as a seed is more than enough for practically every single case. It still hasn't been cracked or predicted.
Some people say that, in theory, it could be cracked however, i tried and its impossible, modern computers are so complex and fast that it gives enough entropy.

[pdf]"

In small companies, a software engineer is a social job, it requires to talks with lot of people, specially with the customer (may be not all customers) but also, with others colleagues, with the people of infrastructure, sometime even with the people of finances (such as asking for a new server), with marketing or sales (if any), with design and so on.
In a big business, a software engineer is only a cogs that follows specific orders. I remember a blog of a former engineer of Microsoft that talked about it, he said that, in the past, Microsoft was direct, and having a technical meeting with Bill Gates was something usual. However, the company grow and those perks are long gone, now MS has a lot of bureaucracy and level and sub levels of complexity (so many executives and managers).

Memory? It depends, knowing technical knowledge by memory is useless since we could use google.
However, if memory means EXPERIENCE then, its a different matter. A seasoned engineer costs a lot more for this reason.

A good engineer solves problems in the most feasible and working way possible. If its fast, cheap and usable then its fine.
A good software engineer solves problems by generating software. Its amazing the amount of self called software engineers that are unable to design from start to end a simple software.
So, a good software engineer is mainly a PROGRAMMER.

Most companies don't care about the EV, aka the GREEN BAR.
For example, Paypal and Apple care but not Google, Amazon or Microsoft. So, its not a matter of costs but its usability that its practically NIL. Even Ycombinator is not using it.
As a developer, i am found that practically all customers don't care about the URL, in fact, most customer don't see the url at all.

Since where Mozilla is the good guy?. In fact, since Mozilla fired one of the founders for political reason, Mozilla is turning from bad to worse:
a) Is breaking plugins just for the good of change.
b) The browser is bloating more and more for each new version.
c) Is adding new features that never asked for.
Developers aren't happy, customers aren't happy and now, partners aren't happy. Google is happy.
