I think one of the nice examples is agentic design systems.

On one hand, you set some boundaries on user interface layout, flow, allowed components, etc. so that the interface looks & feels like belonging to the same product every time.

On the other hand, you may decide to leave more "creative freedom" in some other areas. The fun part comes when you let it work in semi-realtime in production, and get sort of generative/organic UI. I enjoy experimenting with that these days.

Hmm I'm thinking:

- I'd hire someone who keeps building even when jobless.

What you build is your CV/Cover, and your learning opportunity. These days, you have to know LLMs inside and out, which means using them heavily to learn.

- The subscription is probably below or around the daily rate, so it pays off quickly.

I'd argue that it's an investment in your education - not only learning to work with LLMs, but also using LLMs to teach you almost anything (even beyond tech).

I’ve been a designer (and developer) for 15+ years now. AI can produce better design than 80% of human designers already. Those we scream “AI can’t replace me” the loudest are those whom it already did.
