This is the only careful comment. Everything else here is trying to mentally push away the inevitable. You can argue if it is noble to perform resistance in the face of what is pretty much fate, but I would not put any cent on that.

That’s why you never promote anything, or if you do, you do it with full awareness that you are being irresponsible, because you don’t know what the future holds, and acting like things won’t change is incredibly shallow.

I fail to understand your worry. This will change nothing regarding some people’s tendency to foster and exploit negative emotions for traction and money. “AI makes it easier”, was it hard to stumble across out-of-context clips and photoshops that worked well enough to create divisiveness? You worry about what could happen but everything already has happened.

Some people think loneliness is somewhat a result of stress and anxiety, it’s far from it. It is precisely the lack of pressure that makes them stay home. You need to apply as much pressure on them so that staying at home becomes unbearable.

You can’t possibly use the “they use the word ‘might’” argument and not mention the death red screen those words are printed over. If you are referring to abidance to the law, you are technically right. If we remove the human factor, you technically are.

I like how honest and blunt your comment is, and what it says about our current relationship with bigtech. Because what you say is accurate, people no longer see a problem in adopting technologies like OpenAI's Atlas. Google set a standard, and what used to be a massive red flag is now "a price we've already paid". No new harm is felt.
