Kind of sick of people copy pasting my conversations in slack to AI, that just leads me to talking in circles.

We used to have infinite tokens but now we are being severely limited. Devs are running out of tokens in 1-2 days which is supposed to last the whole month. Just curious what others are seeing the implications...

All these hot takes that LLMs are -10x, 100x, 2x are kind of silly. It really depends on:
What you are using it for? What language, what framework, how many LOC, what domain, how much docs can the LLM read, etc etc.
What are you optimizing for? Cost? Human knowing how your code works? Getting something out the door?
How Good You Are at Prompting the LLM for THAT specific set of parameters?
I find AI can save me like 5x time on something, and in other cases it's wasted 5x time. Overtime I'm hopefully learning how to use it better.

It was a frontier model from a few months ago. It hasn't done it recently. But it has happened. I imagine if there isn't a lot of training data for an idea it probably has a higher change of generating verbatim, so as time goes on, it should become less of a problem (at least with high quality models).

I mean ai has generated copyright headers verbatim in code I asked it to make. I had a tutorial open from the web and asked the AI to generate an example for me and it was the example from the tutorial verbatim as well...

AI makes mistakes like humans. We used to review human's code because humans make mistakes. What the hell has changed? I mean it's pretty effective to have another agent review the code too, but I still find it doesn't catch all of the things I do. Also don't tell me the tests you didn't even read will make sure it all works :)
