All of the constraints you mentioned are the results of decades of optimization around the tube-shape aircraft design. Meaning the design has to be proven first. Infrastructure will adapt.

Also, I suspect the first application will be military, such as Next Generation Air-refueling System (NGAS):

I don't know if Greg Brockman is an angel investor or not, but there are a bunch of other companies investing -- Google, Amazon, Nvidia, Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, IBM, Salesforce -- probably at much higher amount than individual angel investors. Whatever connection they may have with Greg Brockman, they have much more serious commitment to other investors.

Do you know how many F16s the US has? They essentially modify aircrafts near the end of their life cycle, adding automate kits. Such a jet is less expensive than new drone and can do more -- fly higher, faster, more complex profiles. They also rarely fly compared to other aircrafts in active duties, manned or unmanned.

It's "human-on-the-loop experimentation", not mass production. Are you engineer? How do you experiment? I assume by pushing the boundaries step by step? How do you suggest they do testing if not by taking risk?

If they pay enough, why not? What is public use infrastructure in your opinion? Any difference than building more houses (like a dense apartment complex) and extend the grid there? That's still private corp infrastructure.

They didn't ship 19 regressions over 2 weeks. "Merged" doesn't mean "shipped". Their customers have probably seen none of those because they've all been fixed.

Such a terribly bad faith take. I feel upset reading this more than I should have.

They asked a tough question that needs to be addressed. It's as necessary as "is there a place for assisted suicide?" question.

They proposed 1) Address large markets; 2) Address disorders with high incidence; and 3) Constant innovation and portfolio expansion.

Does that sound like to you they proposed not curing patients?

It's funny because you chose to target the one who is pro-AI, who has since posted their code, and not the GP who is against AI, who also didn't post any code to support his opinion that "it turns out the models don't care about your ideas and want to do what's popular in their training data".
