Come on this is all just pure copium from people who swallowed this hook line and sinker.

The worst thing anyone mustered about this is it was a breach of the cordial way mathematicians treat each other.

OpenAI solved Navier Stokes and that’s all anyone will remember about this no matter how mad people are about it and no matter how much they’re coping that they “stole” it.

Newsflash: team Anthropic was using AI too full of people’s “stolen” content.

AI derangement syndrome is amazing.

The researchers were also using AI so we're really just arguing over how much AI is allowed. But somehow a lean-verified proof that came first doesn't count because reasons.

If you have been involved in academia in any way, you know this happens all the time because the field is nearing a breakthrough, not a single person.

Singularity and inflection point are incompatible mathematically and in the plain sense, it really is focused on a particular moment and always has been, hence the term.

And it's definitely supposed to imply some kind of historical discontinuity not a change in convexity.

That's because it's really just not comparably impairing compared to alcohol and uppers.

On the other hand, the cardiovascular health effects, especially at the really high doses with high availability weren't predicted but are still a problem.

None of which changes the fact that putting people in jail for this was dumb and we shouldn't go back.

Claude in particular seems to try and use its internal thesaurus but not exactly align the senses. It constantly uses "address" for place or location and "grammar" for structure, meaning, etc.

This is kind of a nitpick, but it seems like with prose writing there are still some things to learn.
