Just by reading the first paragraph I can see how unbiased this article will be.

The gplv3 has been an utter failure. Trying to rewrite history so the gplv2 works like the gplv3 is pathetic and will be the last nail in the coffin of the GPL.

Okay, I agree with everything you said, BUT we were lied to when we were promised that we'd be back to normal life if we got vaccinated.

We should have had all the information when we made the choice of getting vaccinated or not. You say most people would've gotten vaccinated, I say they wouldn't have. We'll never know, since we were lied to.

Why would I want to vaccinate if I'm still going to get restricted?

I mean the whole deal here was that if we got vaccinated we'd be back to normal life. If that wasn't the case they should've been sincere up front and most of us wouldn't have gotten vaccinated.

I don't rationalise it as a good thing. I think there are many things to consider when buying a phone and this is just one of them.

Lately Apple started mandating that apps like telegram or discord must make it impossible for iPhone users to see nsfw content, which has tipped the balance towards android for me. For the first time in many years I'm using an Android phone. But as I said, one of all the factors to consider.

In Spain soon it will be impossible to pay more than 1k in cash. Current limit is around 3k iirc. I guess it's the same in most EU countries.

Practically all of this happened in Spain. Recently one of the higher courts ruled our first lockdown, which was absolute, as unconstitutional. Over a year later! They will return all the money they stole from us in fines. But what about the time, and our rights? If I had known this I would've gone out...

And they have the media in their pockets so no one will complain. Until recently we were forced to wear a mask always, even if we were completely alone in the middle of the street. The police kicked doors down if they suspected there was a reunion going on in your private property. It was a nightmare.

If you are American, cherish your freedom! You don't know how valuable it is.

That's a very romantic view of society, but a graduate on poetry will most likely spend the rest of her days writing copy for a marketing agency, selling burgers, or cleaning latrines. And that's ignoring the fact that you really don't need to study "poetry" for four years to be able to write poems.

On the other hand, degrees are "free" in Europe, and I don't want my tax money spent on people doing masters degrees on "poetry".

The fact that you have to pay for your degree out of pocket may mean that more people will choose to do degrees that are worth something, which is a great thing for society overall. Having said that the prices of degrees in the US are outrageous. A middle ground should be found.
