While if you wanted to do so you would probably just add the .com and skip the middle man, I know of quite a few people who use search to get to sites even though they know their URLs.
That isn’t to say I hate what this site is doing, I think it is quite neat, but I do think we have to consider that there are more ways used to get to Google than just entering Google.com

In order for that scenario to be an issue, I'd need to have made an agreement with Amazon to sell AWS out of a building and then Amazon decided to open up an Amazon AWS store in the strip mall 2 roads over, right?
Think what they're really protecting here is that dealerships must house, maintain, and purchase a lot of very expensive merchandise (vehicles) and if a more "official" distribution channel popped up in town, that'd hose dealerships that have invested a lot in a particular brand(s).

Yeah, I don’t think 3 can be overstated.
Prior to 911, hijacked planes were not an unknown thing. I don’t know numbers, but remember periodic events in the news of x plane that was hijacked landing at y airport with local officials needing to meet hijacker demands for it to return to its flight.
Was weird when it happened, but we also didn’t have the hour of processing through security we do now.

I don't know if this app works or not, but if there were a piece of software that I could use for my Sony XM2 headphones to cleanly switch between devices, it'd be in "shut up and take my money" territory by default. Was tempted to buy the XM4 headphones because I thought this was what they were advertising with the bluetooth switching, but I've read that feature doesn't work well for the devices that implement it (not the Sony headphones specifically).
So agreeing with everyone, go with a different name. Also selfishly, try and figure out a way to do this with non-Bose headphones and add it.

Not going to go into free speech = government because I think that point has been beaten to death.
Was there speech on Parler that was above board in the sense that it wasn’t people up to no good? I’m sure there was. It’s unrealistic to think that everyone there was advocating for a violent act to happen. Unfortunately, Apple and Amazon (Amazon documenting cases of threatened murder, rape, etc. that Parler wouldn’t remove) allegedly had been requesting that Parler clean up the more extreme content which allegedly they refused to/didn’t do. To Apple, that’s probably no different than an application being riddled in bugs and as such they don’t want it on their app store.

my guess is they're trying to say that the person was in the right, their managers in the wrong (and they are a manager themselves) and if they run into the situation again, they know what to look for. Also, in the event this person is beating themselves up over the situation (thinking this is the norm, thinking that maybe they made the wrong decision, etc.) it would appear it is intended to put them at ease that they did the smart thing and it isn't like this on every team.

Well, Nvidia (outside of some really, really old hardware) isn’t supported on Mac so I’d imagine effectively M1 doesn’t support CUDA.
I would hope they didn’t kill off eGPUing Radeon cards, but I haven’t kept track of the new hardware other than M1 being really good.

Hope so, but Apple implemented the wholesale Metal Only (not Metal Only unless you run a command in terminal) update which killed off using Nvidia cards for those of us who bought MBPs for eGPUing Nvidia cards. Considering Apple hardware doesn’t have a Nvidia option and people like me are probably niche to bring their own GPU (even though CUDA exists), it’d be highly unrealistic to think that Nvidia would rewrite their drivers for Metal because the affected users has to be quite small.
I hope you’re right, but personally, I don’t trust Apple to allow me to do what I wish anymore.

True, but in a lot of ways their vbucks/robux/etc. thing is equivalent of anything else that is paid for that has no physical or value going forward. Do I really need to do anything ppv or movies on demand? It's fleeting enjoyment much like those are.
And in the case of Fortnite and Roblox, the games are free so it does make sense to pay at least some into it (there's no such thing as a free lunch) and thankfully none of the things you pay for give the player an advantage so it is mostly what elicits an "I want my avatar to look like this" reaction. Plus, it teaches limits and in the case of my daughter, she weighs what she really wants in the game vs just seeing something shiny. In Adopt Me, that is mostly ride/fly potions for pets she has raised and turned to neon via raising 4 and merging.
I do, however, think there should be limits on it. But I think lessons can be learned from the experience all the same.

The way micro transactions work in those games (effectively for skins, special privileges in games, etc.), I think the toy comparison isn’t terribly far off the mark. Guns, starring in porn, working in mines, etc. is extreme in comparison.
Whether it be tycoon games, social adventure games like About Me, Royal High, etc., it’s basically the new form of entertainment for kids. About the time my daughter became generally disinterested in toys was about the time she started liking Roblox.

Memory is hazy, but from what I've read most people that call Chrome the new IE is because it likes to incorporate non-standard aspects that other browsers don't (because they're not standard) which causes apps to lose functionality (or outright break) outside of Chrome.
I can kind of see it both ways. I appreciate that Chromium browsers may have little extras you can tap into as it'll make for neat features (Project Stream and I imagine later Stadia is because of that sort of thing), but it does break browser compatibility so it runs the risk of replicating that "works in IE" experience from way back when.
The IE I don't specifically miss though was needing to support older releases of it at work, personally. But I could see disliking the "what do you mean it doesn't work in Safari/Firefox/etc.?" discussions that may happen.
