In California, the pharmacy computer queries some state database to log the purchase and get approval. If you buy too much too quickly your purchase will be blocked.

My closest pharmacy “loses its connection to the system” frequently which results in them being unable to sell me the medicine. The computer will refuse to ring it up.

I've told the LLMs that, when traveling, I don't care about nightlife and alcohol. Because they have a memory of this, when I ask for a sample itinerary for a 2 day stay in a new city, it won't waste hours in the day on the party street, wine tasting, etc.

For example, instead of recommending a popular night club, it will recommend the stroll along the river to view the lit up skyline or to visit the night market instead.

It knows other preferences as well (exploring quirky neighborhoods, trying local fast food joints and markets)

Both HN clients that I use are failing to load/update. I think they both pull data from the Algolia search endpoints.

We shared an office space with Watsi years ago in San Francisco. Chase, Grace and the rest of the team were amazing.

The post auto plays videos as you scroll and sets them to full screen on mobile. It also seems to hijack all scrolling and stutters constantly on scroll.

Now I want to see one where you let any login work but dump them at a fake shell that logs the commands sent. I’m curious what they do. Could even crowd source a mapping of command string matches to example output.

I don’t have access to the article, so I’m basing this response solely on your comment. I wonder if the author thinks all animations on the web are called GIFs. So being part of creating one of the early methods of publishing animations on the web (Shockwave) confused the author.
