In my country, 2 decades ago there are were plenty of people who knew the basics. Today, it feels like a lost art.
I would like to approach it as a hobby, not like electronic engineer level, but enough to debug problem and change components to a low level.
What is the pragmatic approach in this mission? I reckon it will be valuable in the future that comes.

I am in the exactly same situation than OP. I tend to think advanced calculus is key to think well: domains, limits, restrictions, functional math. Is that accurate?

It seems all the currents ways of configuring Raspberry Pi wifi through the phone are based in captive portals. At the same time, it looks like browsers, starting by Chrome are restrincting more and more any use but the standard.
I am concerned, that having a product based on this, and been a headless system, at some point they will lose suddenly the ability to be connected to wifi, making it unusable.
Any thought? Are they going to go that far?

I just discovered, in the pursuit of my entrepreneurial journey and in my thirties that I am terrible. Worst that I thought It could be. This leads to procrastination and being exhausted all the time. Sometimes I don't even know what should I work on
Those who fixed this problem late in life. What did you do?

I have a project kiosk-like Using raspberry Pi. Every time I set one up, I have to connect manually internet through wifi (using keyboard). I was wondering if there is something to do the whole thing with the phone, similar to how chromecast does it.
I heard captive portals are in the way to extinction and are harder to use due to Google restrictions in Android for security.
Any idea? How would you do it?

Hi guys, I have been developing a digital signage projects aimed at restaurants and bars. It's all done by me. It is basic in the way that is a 32" screen that show at each time of the day the most desired products to sell. Each product is showed with a professional studio photography gastronomically optimized . Prices can be changed at any time and the whole thing is automated and unattended.
When I contact prospects I try communicate the potential to make more money from the same clients, but of course I can't tell specific numbers or ROI and this is frustrating me. I am designing now the sales process and would appreciate help from experienced fellows.
How would you approach this challenge?

Solo founder also here with a product that mixes software and hardware.
For me the big realization was that self-sabotage is mechanism that make up excuses to prevent future damage to your ego. It is activated when you feel uncertain about outcomes and in risky terrain.
Knowing that, the trick is starting stuff you are unsure as an experiment, so you can see how can you get there instead crossing items in a to-do list.
In my case I got to feel really guilty about wasting days and weeks without any advancements. Stuck in complex issues (in my mind) and swimming in circles.
Progress in the only cure, and only reframing your day to day it get easier.
