We're building the intelligence layer for physical risk: digital twins of individual homes, run through physics-informed AI World Models, to see exactly how a specific property will perform in a wildfire or hurricane — traditional models only guess at the neighborhood level. That precision lets us do what insurers historically couldn't: measure how much a new roof, cleared vegetation, or better siding actually cuts risk, then price coverage accordingly, turning mitigation into a real financial incentive instead of just advice.

We've scaled to ~$10B in insured assets in just two states in under a year. The interesting problems: ML surrogates that run physics simulations 1,000x+ faster without losing accuracy, structure-level digital twins built from imagery and property data at scale, and systems that reason across risk, cost, and homeowner tradeoffs — we're hiring across engineering and applied science.

Still, auto-renewing IAP subscriptions are limited to a narrow class of applications (see AppStore review guidelines #11.15), forcing most to use churn-prone manually-renewing subscriptions. Outside payment systems are largely prohibited for digital goods under #11.13. The combination of these rules forces multi-platform subscription based apps (i.e. Autodesk's 123d-line of apps) to juggle multiple payment systems. Integration between those payment systems is often weak due to lack of a published web service or hook-system for IAP.

The state of in-app purchases leaves much to be desired.

I think I'm learning that people tend to plan further out (a few days to a week) in the face of external deadlines (i.e. exam season at school, sometimes end-of-quarter in business, etc). Adhoc time blocking occurs more when the motivation to be productive is self-imposed. Does that jive with your experience?

If you've used the technique, what were the circumstances (Work, school, parenting, etc)? Did it improve your productivity or balance? If you've since stopped, why did you decide to stop using the technique?

As a reader though, I don't want to lose the high-bandwidth nature of Twitter. The headline thought/status/caption in your stream, with a link to the details hits an information consumption optimum for me.

It's really that first DM in a conversation where I think 140 characters causes me to leave Twitter. Maybe I'm doing it wrong - often trying to stuff salutation + context + question into the first DM. If the convo gets past that, then yeah, 140 is fine.
