I think Fortnite uses a projectile bullet model while Call of Duty is all hitscan, but I could be mistaken. It’s been years since I played a CoD game.

I would imagine it takes much more work to design something skeuomorphically than it would something flat. And clarity is the top priority - you should instantly know what the thing does upon seeing it.

This is completely tangential to your point, but why did you choose to use “she” as the pronoun in your last sentence? I see this more and more frequently, and I assume it has something to do with being more inclusive (so as not to imply only a man could be the subject), but I don’t want to assume. Why not use “they” instead?

A 144hz monitor makes a huge difference. It will cut the inherent max latency of a display frame from 16ms to 6ms. They feel amazing.

A bot that doesn’t use the official registration method, which involves setting up an “application,” registering the bot, and then inviting it to your server. This labels it clearly as a bot. A user bot just looks like a user, and also has no restrictions.

I can't stand sugar in savory foods. I had a friend tell me a handy tip at Thai restaurants is to ask for your food made with no sugar, so I tried it at my favorite place. The college student waiter got a wide eyed look on his face and lowered his voice to say "can't do that, and it's in _everything_."

It sucks that this is as commonplace as it is.

Walking does a surprising amount of good for fitness too, if you can do enough of it. When I worked in a grocery store I was in great shape.

Don’t the new M1 macs still have 2 thunderbolt buses, even if they only have 2 ports? So with an adapter they’d be the same as the 4 port counterparts.

If we assume that the average gas tank is half full, and then a large number of people decide to top off their tanks, that could be a huge amount of fuel, right?
