I use ctrl-c and ctrl-v for those. Right hand presses right control with palm of hand (just below pinky). Left hand types the letter like normal.

I just kind of roll my hand to the ctrl key, I don't use a finger to press it.

Same thing with right-ctrl.

From what I have read (not having actually used Zulip) it always sounded like the chats were threaded in the same way that mailing lists or newsgroups are threaded.

How accurate is that understanding?

I use the fast normal knot for shoes I am going to tie/untie a lot and the secure knot for everything else.

Credit cards have better consumer protection than debit cards.

You are on the hook for like $50 max of fraudulent credit card, and like $500 of fraudulent debit. If you don't catch debit in time, you might be liable for all of it.

The people who tout "you can pause it" as an advantage of home theater are just not consuming movies the way I consume movies.

If you are in the theatre, no one is going to talk to you about the movie, or comment on it for no reason, etc.

I still regret pausing Lost Highway (like 25 years ago) so we could go out and smoke a cigarette. It completely broke the spell and the movie just wasn't the same from then on.
