I personally worked for a company in mountain view whose main product was an automated form filler for pest control operators and there cali EPA documentation.

It was something that looked like it was originally written in visual basic and than rewritten in react for tablet devices.

I'm still under NDA but the above figures related to per company\ per month sales are about right

Yep. Mostly perform for my self and friends and family now...I can improvise on the piano for 8 hours at a time sometimes (very cathartic for those emotional days)

This is my first composition (in the merrie melodies style). Inspired from getting drunk and watching my ferrets play around the house and "hunt" the cat and lose.

The thing is: freedom of speech (Like all other freedoms), is a two-way street.

You're free to say whatever messed up stuff you want to me, and I'm free to tell you to "Go F*CK Yourself"

its ok.....i got a diploma from a prestigious music school at the age of 18 and still spent the large chunk of my 20s working my way from busboy to assistant kitchen manager at a variety of classy restaurants, culminating in about $12/hr.

During the restaurant years I was also going to college for computer science and ultimately dropped out halfway through to do remote R&D work for a silicon valley gig making a whopping 500 bucks a week (living in FL)...Than covid hit and the boss went back to Korea.

Now I make 12.50 an hour repairing and designing boutique tube amps in KS

You should have started by putting some money on the ground when they aren't there....and then when they come you pick up the money and leave the peanuts.....do this a few times on a daily schedule and then "miss" a day or two so they associate having money on the ground with getting peanuts....then the profit comes

One of my favorite image tests with AI models is schematic analysis...I build and repair tube amps for a living, and use AI for such work a LOT.

so far, IMHO, the best has been opus and fable\mythos.

I'll add and old tome I used to keep by the toilet as a kid.

"Hens Teeth and Horse's Toes"

Awesome sort of factoid book on the quirky ways different animals evolved

This gives me that same feeling as 90s-00s Linux .... Sure, your gonna royal mess it all up at some point and have to reinstall (probably sooner than you think)....but look at all the fun stuff you can potentially do with it.

After having spent 20+ years growing up in rural FL, I've been telling people for years now that: "poor people are the new negro".

If you are poor, than you look poor usually. And people ABSOLUTELY treat you differently from the government to the local store.

I lived in one really messed up part of FL called interlachen that really opened my eyes to that fact.

As someone who has worked in the music sphere with many hats over the past few decades: her best shot is to get people talking about her, perhaps find some local musicians she likes and offer cheap\free recordings to fill in her portfolio and get that word of mouth started.

Successful people in the music world (both on and off stage) HAVE to mingle with musicians (not other engineers) heavily to get noticed and recommended

I bought an Alesis QS8.1 super cheap in perfect condition (was a top grade digital piano/synth in the 90s).

and then i realized that ALL of the software (which i collected from defunct websites and archived on github) related to it was ancient and after a while of getting tired of using WINE every single time i decided i wanted a cross platform modern equivalent that did everything that several of these different programs did (plus break out some stuff that was now potentially possible with modern computer)

i thought it would be extremely hard because the computer to synth communication is pretty much only via sysex commands (of which the actual wave file encoding protocol was undocumented)

Claude walked me through examining the some of the original software in GHIDRA, and I had a working demo that night.....now im just playing with adding new features to it.
