My house is built out of reinforced concrete, so wireless signals reach almost nowhere. I got Ethernet put into the living room and bedroom and put in 2.5 Gbps USB ethernet dongles on powered hubs, so when I plug into my phone/laptop to charge they get wired ethernet automatically.

I read a few of the articles, he states the problem is that cars starting in the late 90's have digital LCD odometers that can't be easily read on a dead car

In our camera app Photon (https://photon.cam) we have an option "Process Control" to blend the RAW and JPEG, bringing some of the noise from the RAW back into the JPEG but keeping the better dynamic range from Apples HDR algorithms

These aren't moving goalposts by antis, this are the expectations set by Elon Musk himself when advertising his products.

Apple is saving a ridiculous amount of money by just licensing Gemini from Google instead of trying to keep up with a frontier model of their own. In a few years when the S-curve has flattened a bit it will probably be way cheaper to catch up if Google then tries to squeeze them.

Among even non-tech people I know, it's now common knowledge to check on the web if you can get a discount without the Apple tax before doing an in-app purchase. I think most people care more about saving 10-30% on their purchases than the convenience.

There are very popular apps on the App Store right now that are going viral among non-techie people that do exactly this, and they have no concept of how AI works. My wife was talking about one and I had to give her a reality check that the AI had no idea what ingredients were used to make the food. And she's a licensed nutritionalist.

Studies like this create something to point at for people who are confused and serve as a springboard for a conversation in the media.

I'm honestly surprised that WiFi Hotspot doesn't isolate hosts, after companies like Meta have been caught running servers inside their apps and connecting to those to track users.
