It's mostly appetite suppressing. Affects the perception of hunger and the brain/reward function of eating, which must also be part of what also helps for drug and alcohol addiction.

It IME doesn't act like an anti-depressant/SSRI which can affect your enthusiasm/desire for your job.

Absolutely life changing drug for me.

It is used for those things I agree.

Those things alone do not hold up a $1.5T market cap. I would say they don’t hold up a $1.5B cap either.

You made a subtle, but important, pivot from the topic of “Bitcoin” to the broader topic of “crypto”.

Bitcoin specifically, with its multi-trillion dollar market cap, is built up that high purely on speculation. It is a very fragile store of wealth, especially the higher its market cap becomes.

You can argue what its value should be as a material alone, but it’s not entirely speculation.

Airpods Max are 100% everywhere. And not in affluent areas either.

I probably see people wear them on public transit most often—and when I visited NY the subway was by far the most common place to see them.

I read that they will technically be on payroll until late March. If that's the case, it's not so much accelerated vesting as it is vesting while not being "employed".

So same result, to some extent.

They still have their equity grants that will vest each quarter as they would before. The difference is they are vesting a cash value equal to the price-per-share of when it was bought.

If you happen to be hitting your cliff soon, that is the only case you might be going down to base only.

If you’re the kind of person who has cash to buy a house (or a significant down payment), what are the odds those assets were in cash and didn’t go down with the greater market?

Feels like a very narrow slice that would be cash-heavy over the last 1-2 years that would benefit from whatever size a house drop ends up being.

The crisis with the housing criss wasn't that housing collapsed, it's that the world economy went along with it.
