Don't know what it's like where you are, but most people nowadays are not so interested in reading a 'newspaper'. It's all online/tv/radio/podcast
Even the local freely distributed papers are hardly read (unless placed near to a train station or similar so someone about to have 30 mins on a train may pick it up).

I have a Canon laser printer. The shop wanted to sell me another brand as was cheaper to run, but I explained I wanted that one as it had a fast 'time to first print'. As like you I only print occasionally so want to turn on the printer and get it out asap.
A lot of printing in the e-commerce days are postage labels. So if you print a lot of them, also get a cheap label printer.

>When hardwares price go up at least 4x for storage and ram, I don't see how you can avoid price increases
You said you are on older infra? So why did they increase your costs 1.25x?
That old hardware has long depreciated and paid itself back many times over and you run a higher risk of an outage due to components wearing out over time.
You should be asking for a discount!

This is one of the main reasons UK left EU.
National politicians use the EU to bypass national democracy and then blame the EU publicly to deflect of their true involvement.
Uk was a leading EU country via being one of the largest financial contributors, and UK was behind many of the decisions they later blamed on 'EU Bureaucrats'.

Cloudflare's business model appears to be wait till someone is generating lots of bandwidth and then give them 30 days to move up a tier or be closed down.
I've read reports of companies on the business plan being strong armed into signing Enterprise plans with 1 year upfront.
It's a listed company with revenue expectations, and VERY good at marketing itself, but it's free tier of CDN/DDOS to start off with is a good deal.

Just looked at their website, they don't do many loss leaders as others, for example others offer free static site hosting.
But they are a private company with only one small $6m funding round back in 2022, so I think they are more focused on building organically and not chasing investor funded growth.
Good luck to Bunny!

Making chips smaller is very hard at the nanometer sizes, and it requires the kind of expert equipment made by one single Dutch company (ASML) and expertise only the likes of Taiwan's TSMC have.
Stacking means keeping the same size, but adding more of it so it matches the same compute power as the more advanced smaller chip designs.
China (who is banned from buying from ASML) is currently pursuing stacking as a short to medium term strategy until they can catch up to TSMC.
https://policy.economy.ac/news/2025/11/202511284344
