Yes, and I'm hoping we get there soon. I do much better locked in and focused on one thing. I HATE multitasking. I feel like using AI is:

a) making me not think at all

b) giving me weird adhd brain (I never struggled before with this)

Before agentic coding, I always prided myself on how long I could work in a flow state. I was really good at working deeply.

Now, with slow agents like Claude, I find myself no longer working deeply.

What are you all doing to stay focused?

Didn't OpenAI say they thought it was foreign interference?

Personally, I find it ironic to see people going on and on about data centers on platforms like Threads, Reddit, and X. It's like, do you know where your data is going when you press that button?

But now there's massive opposition to building on land.

If you just build in space no one will be able to hold up those permits.

For what it's worth I don't disagree with you.

This depends on ridiculously low costs to orbit. But there truly is unlimited power up there from the sun.

I was thinking about this lately as well. If you break down their plan of launching a LOT of solar panels into space and strapping a GPU cluster to it. It's not _that_ crazy now.

Prices for solar panels have dropped 90% in the last 10 years.

Price per kilo to Low Earth Orbit has dropped ~50% in the last 10 years.

SpaceX's entire plan is to keep dropping both of these prices down even more with massive solar panel / starship factories.

Yup, I've known and met such people.

However... NONE were "the 10x developer" who built up a huge mess. Which a team and I had to spend months and months cleaning up after.

What if we just made a strong middle class? Made sure they had a LOT more money? Then they could just buy more stuff and services.

I am still convinced that Apple is slowly working its way to smart glasses. And that *this* is the Next Big Thing. Frankly, the future is very good AR glasses that just work.

- iPhone Air to cram everything into a small space

- Vision pro - a new OS for looking at things and interacting

- Better Siri and AI that works with voice

- Smart local model / routing to big models in the cloud

- integration with wearables (air pods and watches)

I'm 40 and I am DESPERATLY trying to get out of tech. I love building stuff and I don't even mind AI.

However, the industry has just changed so much in the past 2 decades that I find it insufferable.

The leetcode grinding interviews. The bureaucracy. The weird psycho finance people who poured into the industry over time. I just can't stand being a Jira ticket coding monkey anymore.

I'm trying to do my own thing and go my own path. I've deeply suffered financially as a result. I burned through my savings and I don't have any kind of fallback but freelance work.

So I spent time living in Istanbul a few years ago. It really was wild. In the touristy areas (near where I lived), you really would see loads and loads of bald guys walking around with stitches on their heads.

If I were bald, I would totally go there and do the same.
