The 2 groups getting fucked with the stay private longer trend are the LPs and the startup employees.
We should insist on public policy forcing public money into only public assets. It's the obvious sensible rule.
And company safes need to start including a clause where all classes of vested equity are offered buyouts in equal proportions. So VCs can't keep paying founders/each other on the way up while zeroing out common stock and eventually selling company IP for around the liquidity preference to some "totally unrelated" entity. Realistically this will only happen if YC gets onboard but I doubt Garry tan is the guy who can show this kind of spine.

In Silicon Valley, every acquihire that zeros out common stock while giving lumpsums + golden handcuffs to the founders is fraud where the victims are employees without legal protections.
Happens everyday. YC was doing some lip service about addressing this like 10 years ago and never did shit because failed founders and employees are essential fuel for the machine.

I grew up a total Microsoft fanboy but Windows today is sadly nothing but a bloated piece of spyware. It's like they rebuilt Clippy, called it Copilot, and somehow managed to make it shittier.
I run a machine that costs ~$40k so I don't expect this to happen overnight but at this point it's absolutely inevitable that Linux overtakes it in the consumer market.
Every little thing that made Linux inaccessible to a normal non techie is now solved by speaking to some model and having it configure/fix the thing.

Sorry doesn't help at all but you can still be useful - can you please tell us how many private repos do "users of Free, Pro and Pro+ Copilot" who have used Copilot in the last 90 days exist in the github database?
Because microsuck is about to violate the law that many times

It is almost impossible to get international people to come to the US anymore, the few people who are willing to visit can't get visa appointments at the consulate.
Wouldn't be surprised if the World Cup sees half empty stadiums this year and tourism related places like Vegas continue to draw down.

Loved Orion but had to switch to Zen because they had an awful Picture-in-picture implementation and no mouse gesture support, both features I use heavily
Regardless, anything that works toward dethroning the 2 worst spyware distros in the world i.e. windows and osx I must support heavily
