I did the same thing, albeit with some printed labels in the same corner on each, so that it's easy to flip through them when they're stacked together. Has saved me dozens of minutes over the years!

After scanning the Azure and AWS pricing pages and calculators for comparably speced Azure Manged SQL and Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL instances, AWS's RDS comes out at about 1/3 the price of Azure Managed SQL.

This matches my experience with deployments on AWS and Azure. Both are managed db instances, but Azure's is consistently more expensive for comparable offerings on AWS or GCP.

I'm the opposite. Had the Embody for years, but it slowly started to deform (long torso with lots of reclining) and cause back pain. I've since switched to an Aeron C, and after a few months, I'm back to lifting like I used to.

Heineken's domestic formula differs from the export formula (primarily due to the amount of hops added to the export formula, IIRC), which is covered on the tour. The domestic Heineken really is much better than the stuff we get in North America.

The assumption that small businesses would see a drop in marketing efficiency might assume that advertising costs on Facebook remain constant. In a perfect world, I would think that a reduction in ROAS on Facebook would precipitate a decrease in ad costs, as businesses would be less willing to pay a premium for Facebook ads.

In the long term, I think Facebook is the biggest loser in this scenario, not the small businesses.

Crash logging and reporting in the developer console's network tab is a welcome addition.

It might be due to my combination of browser settings and add-ons, but I've found the Firefox developer console to be less than perfectly stable.

I did this for my 3950x, and it works well. The temps on the CPU still spike up quickly and generate a bit of fan noise under brief loads, but apparently that's quite standard for this platform.

It's commonly used in clickbait headlines. If you're using an ad account that Facebook doesn't consider very trustworthy, you'll have a difficult time getting ads with certain attention-grabbing words approved.

I see it as people reacting to the tendency for software and source code to get quite messy or complex as the number of developers involved grows, more so than one would expect from the result of an increased feature set alone.

Specific (or opinionated) design, interfaces, or formatting feels like an early declaration that the people in charge want to deliberately restrict an aspect of the software, in order to keep things consistent and reduce cognitive load during use or development. Constraints are freedom, and all of that.

It sure is. After recently porting a large application from SQLite to Postgres, much of my time was spent casting types and ensuring code was updated to input the correct types into Postgres. All in all, the changes were for the better, as many bugs were discovered and resolved in the process.

I personally consider a native platform's shadiness by a mix of the kind of content they allow, the kind of content that ends up on there, and the amount of fraudulent traffic/clicks that advertisers get billed for.

Taboola and Outbrain at least have manual reviewers attempting to uphold a certain standard for content, though there is a ton of room for improvement. I've never noticed a lot of suspect traffic coming from these two, which is in stark contrast to networks like content.ad or adblade. Of course, Outbrain/Taboola don't compare to the big networks, but I've experienced a good balance of affordable and reasonable quality traffic, though this isn't always the case, as costs/quality can be quite variable over time.

Taboola is generally known to be one of the less-shady ad platforms, amusingly enough. The fact you consider it to be particularly egregious, which I don't really disagree with, seems to reflect the state of affairs in the online advertising industry.
