I do wish more people used basic watermarks on their media regardless - as in sloppy ffmpeg text. People are more likely to repurpose other people's older media than generate new media, and old time-y watermarks make that just slightly harder. Maybe a free app for uploading citizen journalism media that handles the watermarking with geo- and datemarking is the way to go.

Or you could also implement your own on-site equivalent of it, if people are sharing their reviews anyway.

It's also excellent for vlogger content, if you want to get the word out, although influencers aren't historically known for tenacious attribution and credit in their content. :)

There's definitely a perception gap that needs to be closed for these things, whether through VR or something slightly less digital. That's probably also a big part of the appeal of prefabs.

But I can't imagine that your conversion wouldn't benefit by showing actual imperfect photos of your products, especially when you run a platform with 1k new listings per month. I'm personally turned off by something that looks like 3D, especially when all the different colour variations look the exact same.

Anyone know a good Windows app that's just a window that transcribes - and translates - whatever goes through your output device, and not the microphone like most apps do?

We even have companies implementing solutions for ffmpeg vulnerabilities themselves instead of just handing them the vulns to fix themselves.

It's very possible the tide reverses if it's not in people's interest to advocate for AI anymore, so we better not get too used to it just in case.

It's nice that we currently have an alignment of AI advocacy and infosec, though. Maybe Microsoft can even point their AI to their questionable UX and UI practices next.

Some small dining rooms amplify all the worst noises and make it terrible to be in, drains your mental battery like few other things.

I guess there's less frustration about sunk cost with a subscriptions, but we're also used to so many dark UX patterns that any subscription seems sinister. And I really hate all the apps mandating a trial you have to cancel to avoid getting charged, just to try a damn app.

And lately, we've also seen AI companies demonstrating how fluid a subscription "plan" really is, with features coming and going, and the way credits are counted and spent being unreliable.

If the UX got streamlined, I'd probably feel better about it. Maybe the problem isn't a lack of money, but that all our trust has been spent at this point.

At least people will realize that age verification is something everyone will have to do to prove they're >16 - not just something <=16yo's will run into.
