When ChatGPT takes 20 minutes to reason, is it actually spending all the time burning tokens or does a bulk of the time go into 'scheduling' waits. If someone specifically selected xhigh reasoning, I am guessing it can be processed with high batch count.

People who have had access to the raw weights of ChatGPT are worth more now (presumably millions in SBC) selling their credentials to other labs. Why bother with trying to leak ? In any case other labs catch-up to the capabilities within a few months.

Would be quite hilarious if the first two companies to buy As space on ChatGPT is Anthropic and Google.
Specially hilarious, since that's exactly how TikTok got all their initial traction from Meta Ads.

What's funny about this comment is that YouTube is absolutely usable if you pay for YouTube Premium, but most won't.
Goes to show, while everyone whines about how bad an ad based business model is, noone has any alternate strategy that works at scale, - especially one that's not exclusionary to people from the developing world who can't afford to pay for every single thing on the internet.

Pretty sad that the rest of the world needs to pay for the extra tokens because of non-scientific american bias.
This is also possibly a big point why countries/regions want sovereign LLMs which will propagate regional biases only.

xAI is a private company. I very much doubt that the current VC investors will ever litigate this.
They are all waiting for some other favour for taking this on either explicitly or implicitly.
Also, I would like to see a Venn diagram of the investors in xAI and SpaceX.

What do you mean by 'doing' rather than 'deciding' especially at the c-suite level ?
I thought that's what c-suites are paid to do - 'strategy' and 'capital allocation'.
Any example company you have in mind that has leadership actively 'doing' ?

The problem with current crop of LLM models is that it makes for a great demo. I am also confident that you can build a working prototype for GMail, Outlook or any other surface. But I am equally confident it will be a massively different ballgame to role it out to a billion users. You'll run into a lot of edge cases and have to take care of a lot of adversarial scenarios as well.
Pretty sure that's the same issue Apple is running into as well, and why they have had to postpone rollouts.
